Our mission

The Way Beyond Violence

EVERY DAY, SOMEONE STEPS THROUGH OUR DOORS WITH A STORY THEY NEVER IMAGINED WOULD BE THEIRS:

A MOTHER ESCAPING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH HER NEWBORN BABY.

A TEENAGER UNSURE WHO TO TRUST.

A SURVIVOR RETURNING TO COURT AGAIN, HOPING THIS TIME JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED

For 50 years, we’ve been the only comprehensive domestic violence service provider in Tarrant County—offering safety, stability and a path forward. Known for decades as SafeHaven of Tarrant County, we have been the cornerstone of domestic violence response in our community, providing emergency shelter, counseling, legal help, transitional housing and so much more.

Today, we are the archway

The name is new, but our goal is the same: to keep victims safe, hold offenders accountable and strengthen the system. And our vision is bigger than ever – expanding beyond Tarrant County to influence policies, reform systems and reshape how the nation understands and addresses intimate partner violence.

AN ARCHWAY IS A POWERFUL SYMBOL.

It’s a place of passage where people cross from crisis to safety. It’s a structure built to carry weight. That’s what we do: walk alongside survivors from beginning to end, while doing the heavy lifting to create lasting change.

At The Archway, we’re offering more than shelter. We’re building the future survivors have always deserved – one free from fear and grounded in strength, not survival.
