INTERVENTION & PREVENTION
The Archway’s Prevention team brings engaging, research-backed programs into 15 local school districts, teen pregnancy and parenting programs, and youth-serving organizations to help young people recognize healthy relationships, set boundaries, and stand up against bullying and dating violence before it ever starts.
Interested in The Archway’s prevention programming? We offer a 7-session curriculum for K–12 students, with each class lasting 45 minutes. All content is age appropriate and designed specifically for school groups.

We know prevention isn’t a one-size-fits-all curriculum, so we shape our programs into these four groups:
Sydney, a 15-year-old student, participated in one of The Archway’s school-based prevention courses. Through the lessons on healthy relationships and the signs of dating violence, she began to recognize troubling patterns - not in her own relationship, but at home. The behaviors described in class mirrored what she had been witnessing between her father and his fiancée.
With the support of her school counselor and The Archway’s prevention team, Sydney took a brave step. She spoke up about what she was experiencing, and together they made a plan to get her somewhere safe. Sydney has since reunited with her mother and is now living in a secure, nurturing environment - no longer surrounded by abuse.
While our prevention programs reach students across Tarrant County, our most deeply rooted partnership is with Everman ISD – a local K–12 public school district. The Archway’s prevention team has become an integral part of the school community and helps shape a culture where dating violence is not tolerated.
In partnership with Everman ISD & Communities In Schools, The Archway Prevention Team facilitates a peer-led leadership group that hosts lunch-and-learns and plans creative awareness events for other high school students to participate in. These student leaders make prevention efforts feel approachable and relevant while setting an example for what healthy relationships can look like.
